.

Soil erosion is considered to be a global environmental hazard influenced by both natural and human factors. It is expected to increase with global warming and infrastructure development.

The current research will combine remote sensing, numerical modeling, and fieldwork to estimate erosion rates and evaluate conservation strategies in the Northern Negev, Israel

Proficiency in numerical modeling, computer programming (Python, Matlab) and data analysis, or willingness to learn these tools, is required.

Theresearch will be in collaboration with researchers from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, the University of Boulder Colorado, and the Geological Survey of Israel.
