My study focuses on the redistribution of coarse fluvial and coastal sediments in response to base level fall. I use the globally unique setting of the modern Dead Sea rapid lake level fall as analogue for studying global geomorphic processes. In this setting, I am studying the process of sediment transport and redistribution from the synoptic-scale atmospheric conditions that generate flows and sediment transport in channels and along Dead Sea beaches, including the physical-mechanical aspects of the sediment transport process and the active-forming sediment record. Combining observations, measurements, and modelling of these processes to gain insights in the larger global scales.
