Holding a PhD from a recognized academic institution in the previous five years;

A candidate who has not yet received approval for their PhD thesis will submit proof of submitting their dissertation (an essay submitted to receive their doctoral degree);

Finding a supervisor from the institute's academic staff.

Scholarships and Support
The Institute of Earth Sciences at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem grants a variety of postdoctoral scholarships to outstanding students and researchers from all over the world.

The Institute encourages the arrival of our students' families, therefore the University offers a variety of assistance activities to the families of international students, among them: the integration of families into the university community, day care centers and kindergartens, help with school registration and leisure activities.
